        Acura S80a & S65a Spotting Scopes

        The Revic Acura S80a and S65a are feature-rich spotting scopes designed for versatility. Each model includes two interchangeable eyepieces: a standard variable-zoom eyepiece and a fixed-magnification reticle eyepiece.

        The S80a includes:

        • A variable zoom eyepiece with a magnification range of 27–55x

        • A fixed 22x reticle eyepiece

        The S65a includes:

        • A variable zoom eyepiece with a magnification range of 22–45x

        • A fixed 18x reticle eyepiece

        Reticle Eyepiece

        The second eyepiece features a built-in reticle that functions like a ruler inside the scope, allowing spotters to guide shooters onto targets with precision.

        This tool enables accurate measurement of shot impacts and misses. Spotters can communicate precise adjustments for elevation and windage, helping reduce wasted rounds and improving the accuracy of follow-up shots.

        The eyepiece is designed for quick and easy installation using a simple twist-and-lock mechanism.


        To Remove the Eyepiece


        1. Rotate the locking mechanism on the body of the S65a or S80a spotting scope counterclockwise to unlock the eyepiece.

        2. Hold the eyepiece firmly.

        3. Rotate the eyepiece counterclockwise.

        4. Pull the eyepiece straight out of the spotting scope.

        To Install the Second Eyepiece

        1. Remove the protective caps from the second eyepiece.

        2. Insert the eyepiece into the eyepiece mount.

        3. Rotate the eyepiece clockwise until it stops.

        4. Rotate the locking mechanism on the spotting scope body clockwise to secure the eyepiece.


        Reticle Design & Layout

        • The reticle display consists of four primary components: a bottom center crosshair, a top center crosshair, a mill range scale on the right, and an MOA range scale on the left.

        • The MIL range scale on the right hand side increments by tenths of a mil (0.1 MIL). The MOA range scale on the left hand side features quarter-minute (0.25 MOA) sub-tensions.

        • The dual-reticle design features an open center space, which provides a clear view for primary glassing without obstruction from the crosshairs.

        • Each hashmark is 1 MOA. There are ½ MOA subtensions in between the 16MOA - 24 MOA Measurements. 

         


        Safety Warning

        The Acura S80a and S65a are magnified optical systems, do not look at high intensity light sources such as the sun through them.


        Care and Maintenance

        Clean the Acura Spotting Scope after each use, before returning it to a carrying case. Check all of the following items:

        • Moisture: If the unit is exposed to excess moisture, towel off excess moisture and air dry the scope at room temperature.

        • Exterior dirt. Wipe exterior surfaces clean to prevent grit buildup in the carrying case. Isopropanol may be used to remove dirt and fingerprints from the exterior.

        • Ocular and Objective lenses: Cleaning the lenses after each use is suggested. Use an optical air blower to remove particles like dust or dirt. Use a non-abrasive cleaning cloth (such as the cloth provided) to remove fingerprints, smudges or oil from the lenses. Failure to keep the lenses clean may cause damage.


        Dust and Water Protection

        The S80a and S65a are  IPX7 rated, which means it is sealed to provide protection from dust and rain, but will not withstand prolonged submersion (beyond 1-meter submersion up to 30 minutes).
