The Optics Technician plays a critical role in the manufacturing and quality assurance of products, encompassing both new and existing items. This position demands a detail-oriented individual capable of conducting meticulous inspections, maintaining a highly organized and clean workspace, and working effectively both independently and as part of a team. Essential skills include basic computer literacy, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent time management. The role involves quality assurance through incoming inspections, in-process checks, and reporting of non-conforming materials, as well as assembly of electronic components with strict adherence to ESD and FOD control procedures. Packaging responsibilities include final inspections, product cleaning, and verification of packaging materials. Accurate documentation, including recording material consumption, verifying lot numbers and labels, and recording inspection data entry, is also crucial. Additionally, the technician is responsible for maintaining a clean and presentable workstation, servicing equipment, achieving daily throughput goals, and performing end-of-week deep cleaning, while also being able to lift heavy parcels and service manufacturing equipment.
