Course Overview

Our Long Range University Owner's Course is brought to Texas. Warren Ranch offers lodging, meals and a known distance range out to 1400 yards that allows our customers to completely immerse themselves into the Long Range Experience.

Gunwerks is all about the perfect shot. We train to hunt, and success is the only outcome worthy of pursuit. Everything comes down to preparation. Our advanced equipment simplifies most of the difficult aspects of long-range shooting and requires a modern approach to training and curriculum. With Gunwerks equipment and training, our students achieve more capability in less time than any other training in the world.



WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

Owner's Course

In our Owner's Course, we focus on teaching you the in and outs of your Gunwerks Long Range System. You'll receive an in depth presentation on what your rifle is capable of, how to set up your rifle based off of your individual body mechanics and how to program your range finder for your rifle. We will teach you how to verify muzzle velocity and validate trajectory. During the instruction, we will incorporate shooting drills that mimic what you might experience in real world application on a hunt. 

 



All applicants for our training courses must be US citizens not legally barred from possessing firearms. For non-US citizens interested in a training course, please call us directly (307) 296-7300.

All event attendees must complete our liability and media waiver.

Students Discounts:

Students are eligible for up to a 10% discount on in stock firearms within 90 days of completing a class. 

Booking Requirements:

To secure an event date, a deposit payment is required. Final payment is due 15 days prior to the earliest event date.

Student Cancellation:

Train or Compete:

If you need to cancel a training or competition more than sixty (60) days prior to the earliest event date, your deposit will be refunded. If you cancel a training or competition in less than sixty (60) days but more than thirty (30) days prior to the earliest event date, you can rebook the training or competition for an available alternate date. If you cancel a training or competition less than thirty (30) days prior to the earliest event date, your deposit is forfeited and non-refundable.

Hunt:

If you cancel a hunting event (other than an African hunt) more than one hundred twenty (120) days from the start of the hunt, your deposit is fully refundable. If cancelled less than one hundred twenty (120) days from the start of the hunt, the deposit is forfeited.

Gunwerks reserves the right to change or amend these policies at any time.

Student Rebooking:

If you need to rebook a class MORE than thirty (30) days before your scheduled class date, you may rebook (transfer to another class) without any fee. 

If the rebooking is to a more expensive class, you are responsible for the price difference. If the rebooking is to a less expensive class, you will receive a refund of the price difference.

Gunwerks Class Cancellation:

In rare circumstances, Gunwerks may need to cancel a class. If this occurs, you will be notified as soon as possible and given the option of either a full refund or a move to another course of the same value.

  • Smartphone or Tablet

  • Clothing suitable for training in any weather

  • Your complete hunting kit as if you were going on a hunt!

  • Long Range Rifle System Capable of Shooting <1MOA and with data out to 1300 yards

  • 200 Rounds of Ammunition

  • Hearing Protection 

  • Laser Range Finder

  • Binoculars

  • Bipod, Tripod, or Shooting Sticks

  • Rifle Sling

  • Rear Shooting Bag

  • Wind Reading Device (Anemometer)

  • Hunting Pack

  • Sunscreen

  • Toiletries

Lodging:

Your destination Santa Anna, TX. Lodging and meals at Warren Ranch is included into the price of class. 

Flights:

If you are flying by plane, we recommend flying into Dallas Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, or Odessa Texas. 

Car Rentals:

Please make car rental plans with your flight arrangements, Gunwerks does not offer transportation to and from the facility for the course. 

 

This class is held at JB Warren Ranch in Santa Anna, Texas. The Lodge boasts over 8,500 square feet of rustic space, complete with all the amenities of your home or office. It comfortably sleeps 40 adults in 10 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The Lodge Annex is where we do our classroom instruction which is 1,400 square feet that is fully furnished. Warren Ranch offers a known distance range with targets out to 1450 yards.

Warren Ranch will provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner while attending this course. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions ahead of time so that we can facilitate meals for you. 

This is an Owner's Course. You are required to bring your own Gunwerks Long Range Rifle system.

Check in time is 5 PM the day prior to your class date. The classroom will start at 8:00 a.m. daily and end around 5:00 p.m.

We will need the final payment completed two weeks before the event start date to keep the registration valid.

Do you allow observers for the Course?

No. Space is limited and designed to accommodate our class size of 12.
