Job Overview
Gunwerks is looking for a talented Training Instructor who will play an integral role in the development and retention of a loyal and effective customer. The instructor will have more face-to-face interaction with customers than many other members of Gunwerks. Training Instructor I plays a critical role in developing each customer's perception of Gunwerks through their expertise and professionalism. The Details
Responsibilities
- Conduct specified LRU long-range training events on a weekly basis
- Administer specified course instruction in accordance with Company Ethos
- Maintain shooting school information, equipment, and facilities in a manner which represents the high professional standards of Gunwerks
- Maintain inventory of rifles, ammunition, and suppressors assigned to LRU
- Travel to specific off-site training events or shooting competitions in accordance with company needs
- Travel to trade shows and other events as needed
- Ensure that best practices are consistently implemented regarding training, safety, and shooting procedures during courses
- Identifiy and recommend initiatives to improve operational processes and cost-efficiency
- Collect and report customer feedback on the conduct of LRU training events and Gunwerks' products
- Solicit equipment requirements from target audiences for new product development and provide guided input to the product development process
- Network with Creative Content personnel to produce material for publication as needed
- Assist as needed within the Gunwerks' organization during the winter months when the student volume at LRU is low
- Follow all applicable firearm and suppressor laws and company policies related to firearms and suppressors while conducting LRU events
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, relevant military background and/or equivalent experience in a training environment is required
- Exceptional understanding of generally accepted long-range shooting knowledge including equipment, ballistics, shooting techniques, and training protocols
- Ability to be professional and interact with students/customers
- Individual leadership, discipline, and the ability to work independently and remotely while on mobile training events always keeping the best interests of the company in mind
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the capability of articulating highly technical information to students/customers
- Desire to advance an already highly successful training program and maintain its relevance within the long-range shooting community
- Absolute focus on safety at all times
Conditions Of Employment
- Non-Competition and Non-Disclosure Agreement related to the work product of the company relating to rifles, optics, and training courses and marketing materials
- Relocate to Cody, Wyoming, or surrounding area
- Must be eligible for work within the United States for any employer
- Must be authorized to receive Technical Data and/or Technology under the U.S. export control laws
